Option A
Option A is suited best for institutions that want to better understand how live distance learning works before they move on to one of the forms of accreditation and student instruction. Multi-campus schools can especially realize a reduction in institutional expenses. Some of the more obvious benefits of the Q-room are listed below.
-
Administrative travel for meetings and training can be drastically reduced.
-
The classroom can benefit by injecting more live guest speakers and potential employers.
-
A live conferencing area for graduates within the placement department can improve services and stats.
-
Improved training opportunities for all departments can be realized by bringing training in, instead of going out to get it.
-
Teleworking can become an integral part of every department

Option A allows an institution to ease into distance learning instead of diving in head first. Granted option A does not offer schools direct income as do options B and C through student's tuition but by implementing the Q-room environment into the corporate structure it does provide a school with a no risk environment to determine if they can be successful before they obligate themselves to the accrediting processes.
Additionally, for institutions that are looking toward selling in the not so distant future having a staff that is comfortable with the tools of a synchronous distance learning environment could be a very valuable assest to a potential purchaser. Even better would be if the institution has some form of accredited distance learning.
